Privacy notice

A plain-language account of the information Fantasy Record Label needs, why it is used and the controls available to you. Last updated 29 July 2026.

Who operates the game

Fantasy Record Label is operated in the United Kingdom by its owner trading as Fantasy Record Label. Privacy questions can be sent to support@fantasyrecordlabel.com.

Information we collect

We process account details such as your email address and authentication provider; profile details you choose to publish; Label, roster, discovery, competition and Saved activity; support, feedback and safety reports; gameplay-notification preferences and device push tokens; and limited technical information needed for security, reliability and first-party product measurement.

Product events contain an approved event name, a general app route and coarse state such as the current onboarding step. They do not contain artist, league or account identifiers, names, messages or other free text. The server issues a short-lived, signed, HTTP-only session identifier. For signed-in players, a one-way keyed account reference is used briefly to calculate aggregate D1, D7 and four-week return rates; the account ID itself is not stored in analytics tables.

After you have used the game, we may optionally ask how you first heard about Fantasy Record Label. Adults may separately choose whether to receive occasional product news and community highlights by email. Both choices are off by default and do not affect gameplay or access.

Artist names, images, genres and public audience signals come from third-party streaming platforms. They are not personal data about players.

Why we use it

We use account, security and gameplay information because it is needed to provide the service you request. We use limited reliability and product measurements where they are necessary for service security or where our legitimate interest in improving the game does not override your rights. Marketing email is sent only after an adult gives explicit consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. We do not use gameplay push permission for promotions.

We do not sell player data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use undisclosed sponsored Artists as organic recommendations.

Sharing and international processing

Information is handled by service providers needed to host the app, authenticate accounts, store data, send notifications and diagnose service issues. Those providers may process information outside the UK. We use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards where required.

How long we keep information

Account and active game records are kept while your account exists. Raw product events are reduced to daily totals within 48 hours. Short-lived keyed activity days used for aggregate retention are removed after 35 days; only cohort totals remain. Optional acquisition answers are reduced to daily totals and the account-linked answer is removed after no more than 90 days. Sponsored-placement events are kept for up to 30 days, sync logs for 30 days and account-action records for 90 days. Resolved feedback is removed after 12 months. Resolved safety reports and administrator audit records are removed after 24 months unless a longer period is needed for an active investigation or legal duty. Disabled push registrations are removed by the daily retention job.

When you delete your account, your authentication record, public profile and linked game data are permanently removed. A one-way email suppression marker may remain where needed to honour an unsubscribe request without retaining the address itself. Limited de-identified operational or legally necessary safety evidence may remain for the periods above. You can delete in Settings or follow the account deletion instructions.

Your choices and rights

Settings lets you decide whether your avatar, bio and recent activity appear publicly, change gameplay-notification preferences, opt in to or withdraw from optional email updates, download a copy of your information and permanently delete your account. Every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link. You can submit access, correction, restriction, objection or deletion requests in Settings. Depending on where you live, these may be legal rights. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting.

Players aged 13 to 17

Fantasy Record Label is for people aged 13 and over. We ask only for birth month and year to check eligibility, then retain a broad teen or adult status rather than a date of birth. New profiles start with avatars, bios and recent activity private. We do not offer marketing email to teen accounts, knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use age information for advertising. A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account should contact support.

Complaints

Start by contacting support@fantasyrecordlabel.com so we can investigate. If you are in the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Other local data-protection authorities may be available where you live.
